How to remove screenshots from your Mac desktop without deleting them?

Make a folder called “Screenshots” and put all the screenshots in it. Command+Shift+3 takes screenshots, which are saved on the Desktop. You can find them there. This makes your Desktop look messy when there are a lot of screenshots on it. In that case, they aren’t deleted, but your Desktop is cleaned up, so it looks better. Then, what? You will take a screenshot and again, they will be on your computer’s home screen. Copying them inside the folder will be a lot of work if you copy and paste them. That’s what we’re going to do now. We can change the folder where screenshots are saved to that one. For that reason:

Step 1:This is the first step. Make a folder on the Desktop called “Screenshots.” This is where you can save and get to all of your screenshots.

Step 2: Right-click on the folder you want to get more options from.

Step 3: Click on Get Info to find out more.

Step 4: Make sure to look in the new tab that comes up. This is where you’ll find “Where.”

Step 5. Copy the information in Notes app on your phone. We’ll use it later on.

Step 6: Press COMMAND+SPACE, type terminal, and hit enter to open the terminal app. The terminal app will open.

Step 7: In the new Window, write com. apple—screencapture location.

Step 8: Open the notes where you kept “where” information and copy that.

Step 9: Paste the copy text after the code. Make sure there is a space after Location. Then, paste the path in.

Step 10: Add “/screenshots” after the code and then press enter to add screenshots to your list of apps.

Note: You can also drag that folder to the Terminal, and it will take the path of that folder there. In this case, you can do steps 8,9,10 at once.

Step 11: Enter “kill all SystemUIServers,” and then press enter again. Make sure that the changes you have done work.

To copy and paste old screenshots from the Desktop to that folder, move them there. In this case, we only changed where the screenshots were stored. When new screenshots are taken, these will be automatically saved in that folder.
